We C.R.A.V.E Just Sanitation for African Cities
This campaign forms one of the key legacy elements built throughout the action-research project OVERDUE over the last three years. It has been built from the bottom up with inputs from sanitation practitioners who are getting things done on the ground. We have received endorsements to this campaign from a wide range of actors who are committed and well positioned to embrace the challenge of building equitable sanitation for women and men across urban Africa

Sanitation festivals 2020
The cities of Beira, Mwanza and Freetown celebrated World Toilet Day in 2020 with dances, songs, communal gatherings, art exhibitions and public discussions. These creative, public activities helped to raise awareness and tackle the taboo that contributes to sanitation challenges in the different cities.
You can read more about the festivals in each of the cities here.
